Yes or no
My mind spinning in all different directions.
One sentence. One phrase. One facial expression and I’m spiraling.
That’s all it takes to send me into “self doubt” mode.
That’s all it takes.
I’ve noticed this pattern over the years and, in order to maintain my level of sanity (which is not much, might I add), I make sure I either respond by saying “yes” or “no”.
Yes or no to myself.
Yes or no to trusting myself. To allowing myself to feel that way and, as a self care practice, to not give in to that feeling. To not trust that feeling.
I say yes to me and no to everyone else.
